French Navy. . .

Was BEYOND excited today to receive a package today from my long time favourite French Navy. . . Although the parcel was full of Christmas presents I have bought & nothing for me, could not help but squeal with delight at the beautiful packaging & handwritten note. . .

With an entire website full of enchanting note cards with matching envelopes & darling invitations you can not help but spend hours on the site browsing & dreaming of afternoons spent writing letters {on paper, with a pen}. . . Can think of nothing better then personalized note cards as a Christmas gift. . .

Would love to show you the products I bought-- but they must stay a secret for now until some very special people open them on Christmas morning!

Palest pink & gold

Dreaming of a table of gold plated cutlery & gold rimmed crystal; of peonies & roses in the palest of pink; of gold chairs with precious pink cushions; of a marquee where the ground is covered in petals. . .

Simply adore this table-scape & am already planning a delightful brunch inspired by these beautiful photos. . .

At the ballet. . .

Will never tire of the beauty & enchantment of ballet. For as long as can remember, have been completely smitten with everything to do with this graceful art. . . After seeing the calendar of the West Australian Ballet next year, have decided the only thing to do is buy a season pass. . .

What is not to love about ballet-- inspires the every day: ballerina buns, soft pinks, tulle & ribbon in my hair. The costumes, the grace, the purposeful purposelessness of every move-- the dancers look to be floating & gliding as if in a dream. . .

Cannot help but wonder what life would be like as one of these majestic dancers?

Too excited for words!

It's not every day you receive your very first batch of business cards & stationery! Was too excited for words to discover some lovely parcels waiting for me from my very favourite Wiley Valentine . . .

& was even more excited to open them up to see the beautiful surprise waiting for me inside!

Have been working with Rachelle for quite some time to come up with THE perfect logo, business cards & stationery for Amour-Love. . . & now, after much anticipation they have finally arrived at my door step & I could not be more thrilled! Rachelle has the most perfect eye for the little details that make all the difference & was an absolute dream to work with-- thank you darling!

Holiday Hair How-To: 2

With invitations beginning to arrive, may need some more holiday hair inspiration for your next event. . .

Step 1-- Use a large-barrel curling iron to create loose curls all around your head, from the ears down.

Step 2-- Part your hair in the middle, and use your fingers to loosen and separate the curls.

Step 3-- Starting halfway down the part, begin spritzing your roots with hairspray. Continue to the crown.

Step 4-- To create height and volume, tease the sprayed hair with a fine-tooth comb.

Step 5-- Use a brush to gently smooth the teased hair, and gather the sides up into a half ponytail.

Step 6-- Secure the sides with pins, then use your fingers to gently shape the curls into place.

Step 7-- End with shine spray.
{A beautiful, bejeweled hair clip would be the perfect accessory. . .}

Fleeting beauty. . .

For as long as I can remember, have been completely enchanted by peonies. . . Their delicate, soft colours; their precious 'tutu' like layers; their fleeting beauty that is here one moment & gone so quickly. . .

Dream of having an entire field of peonies where I could sit & adore for the short 3 weeks they may bloom. . .

With so many different varieties, it is hard to choose a favourite?

Holiday Hair How-To

The holidays are almost upon us & with them comes many glamorous soirees & sparkling cocktail parties. . . A sequined dress & red lipstick are a must-- & why not try a delightful new up-do?

Step 1-- Using a round brush, blow-dry hair smooth and straight, focusing on the top sections.

Step 2-- Once dry, use a large-barrel curling iron to create waves from the ears down.

Step 3-- Build height and volume at the crown by teasing hair gently with a fine-tooth comb.

Step 4-- Gather hair into a low ponytail. Twist it along the nape of your neck, pinning as you go.

Step 5-- Once you reach your ear, shape the remaining hair into curls, and pin them back over the twist.

Step 6-- Spritz strands in place.
Step 7-- To add texture, gently curl and scrunch the wispy ends with your fingertips.
